First and foremost, I am a family man. My wife and I have 11 exceptional children. These guys & gals are the fuel that drive my long days.
I am a Certified Master Inspector that is licensed to provide services in Kentucky. My knowledge as a home inspector is based on 20 years of experience in the residential, commercial, and industrial construction industry and, over the past 10 years, I’ve inspected nearly 2000 homes…
I am a Building Performance Institute certified Building Analyst. I have been certified by the Kentucky Ready Mixed Concrete Association. Additionally, I am a previous Safety Specialist for the worlds largest online retailer. I have a passion for the work I do. I am able to use my skills and knowledge in each of these areas to provide an accurate, thorough, and unbiased inspection of your potential home. I follow the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors standards of practice and the guidelines set forth by the state of Kentucky.
I designed and built both homes my family has lived in. My first home I built in the evenings after work and the weekends. It took me several years but we lived there happily till we out grew it. I didn’t dig the foundation but I poured the footers, installed the ridge shingles, and everything else in between. I learned quite a lot building that house, even though I’d been in the construction trade my whole life. Our next home I designed myself, drew the plans, and spent 6 months sleeping in my Prius till we were able to move in. God bless my wife for taking care of the kids by herself.
Anyone can decide to get their home inspection license. Half of those individuals will pass their state exam and get their license. Unfortunately, an even smaller fraction of those individuals will continue to inspect homes past their first year. There are several reasons behind this but one of them is the sheer amount of knowledge an inspector needs. A level of knowledge most adequately gained by spending a lifetime in the industry.
